Best Hemorrhoids Treatment?

Ever since my pregnancy ten years ago I have had a problem with hemorrhoids. Thought they would go away but they haven’t. Been using the standard over the counter cream, but that is so temporary and messy and inconvenient, I would like to get rid of them permanently, preferably through an alternative method . Has anyone found anything that works? Thanks..
