Video recorder and editor? NOT audacity?

I wanna record with a mic, but I don’t like that programs like audacity has the background noise. Is there any voice recorders, preferably that i can download, for windows, that aren’t very expensive, as i’m a student!!

Free In-computer audio recorder?

I am looking for an audio recorder. NOT ONE THAT RECORDS SOUNDS OUTSIDE THE COMPUTER. I need one that can record audio from Youtube videos or something like that. NO I’m not using it for piracy lol

i bought this digital recorder – http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5322312/Trail/searchtext%3EDIGITAL+RECORDER.htm on 15th december and was told it was exempt from the 30 day guarantee & could only be returned if faulty. it works ok but it switches itself off (is on when i go to bed but off when i get up) which means i cannot set it to record any programmes early in the morning. would i get a refund because of this? thanks.

How to forgive myself and move on?

This is a really messy situation…..I’m in the process of a divorce. I met someone within this time that I really clicked with…my soon to be ex husband and I are separated we have a minor child. One day the ex came by to pick up our child and brought her back the next day..he calls me and asked if I’m sleeping with someone I told him no and its nothing that I will discuss with him. He said you are a liar and went on and on with nasty name calling. Come to find out that he planted voice recorders in my home, I had male company the night before and the stbeh heard things that he wished he hadn’t. That’s what he gets…I feel bad that he had to stoop that low..but that’s not the problem…the problem is that I did not tell the guy that I was seeing about this hidden recording situation. I was being selfish and I didn’t know how to tell him that the stbeh was pscychotic. He did find out by going thru my text messages that the stbeh sent about the recording. Needless to say the guy ended the relationship which hurt like hell because he just introduced me to his parents. Looking back I see that I was better off saying something but how? I made a mistake I miss him so much. I’m having a hard time with this. I just want to move on with my life with a lesson learned. But I have to forgive myself for keeping this from him. He said I broke trust by withholding this..any insight from others is greatly appreciated.

Stereo Mix for Incoming Audio Missing?

Ok, long story short, I built my first computer right before Christmas but being out of town I haven’t had much time to tinker with it. I use my computer a lot for recording audio and making songs, and I often used to use the Stereo Mix and record incoming audio when I used Windows XP, and now on Windows 7 Home Premium, I noticed that isn’t an option. I’ve looked online and have seen most resolutions talking about enabling Stereo Mix (I know how to do that and it still isn’t there), and updating drivers…still no luck.

I’ve heard companies have paid Microsoft to remove it from the options to prevent music stealing, but that can’t be the case because others have the option. I’m using a MSI Motherboard with a build in sound card. Again, this is my first computer assembly, so is there a chance I didn’t connect a cable that could be responsible for me missing the stereo mix feature?

-Also, if you don’t know a solution, what’s a good incoming audio recorder? I used to use Acoustica Mixcraft, but it relies on Stereo Mix (so that’s my main problem).

I have fixed the issue…I downloaded the latest RealTek HD Audio Driver for Windows 7 64-bit, restarted the system and enabled stereo mix and set it as default..hope this helps!

Is the new digital recorder, the boss br 800, much better than the br 600?

I was wondering if its worth the uprade, maybe more mic inputs.

Does the Andoid phone app to turn phone into digital voice recorder work well?

I a thinking about buying Dragon 11.5 premium. Tech guy at Nuance said I can download an app so I can record progress notes on my phone then put into Dragon program on my desktop, later. Anyone do this with good results?

A Question About Music Patterns?

I want to buy a portable digital recorder that I can record a guitar pattern (using my electric guitar) as well as a piano pattern (using my keyboard). I am looking for a device that comes with guitar effects and drum beats.

I thought about it and I’m not really interested in using a computer program because I prefer something more simple like a portable device.

I found two digital recorders by looking on the internet, but I am unsure of which device I would rather:

1) Boss Micro BR 4-Track Recorder

2) TASCAM DP-004 Digital 4-Track Recorder

I have a hard time deciding between the two for a couple of reasons.

The Boss Micro BR 4-Track Recorder would be fantastic because of the drum beats and guitar effects that come with it, but it is not easy to use.

TASCAM DP-004 Digital 4-Track Recorder is much easier to use, but it does not come with the drum beats and guitar effects.

Do you have any suggestions? Is there something that would be a combination of these two devices?
