My hemorrhoid has not gotten better in the last week, should I be concerned?

I noticed the hemorrhoid about a week ago after experiencing constipation. I’ve had one before but it went away soon after. I used PreparationH consistently for several days but it didn’t provided relief as far as swelling goes. After a week of discomfort I am starting to get concerned if it will go away. Do they ever go away on their own? My digestive tract has improved since adding lots of fiber but this doesn’t seem to be helping the actual hemorrhoidd.
